The scope and resources available to Departments can vary widely based on the needs of the Air Force at the time, and the mission put forth by the Chief of Staff.

Air Force Tactical Command is the largest Imperial Republican Air Force Command. It provides tactical air units to theater and regional commanders in support of ground or naval operations.
