Granzerian Renewalism

From Atlas

Granzerian Renewalism, is the ruling ideology of the Granzerian Renaissance Party and the Granzerian State as developed by István Árpád and Szilveszter Péter. Granzerian Renewalism is rooted in Granzerian nationalism, national syndicalism, as well as an opposition to both Capitalism and Communism. Granzerian Renewalists see the events of the 21st Century as disastrous for Granzery, and seek to bring about political stability and unity to the country, a lack of which is seen as the precursor to its collapse. In contrast to Granzerian fascism of the mid 20th Century, Granzerian Renewalists tend towards being anti-war, and oppose sweeping changes to the international order, seeing the defeat in the Second Great War as the most egregious and unavoidable failure of the militarist Senate and People's Party, the Granzerian Renaissance Party tends to prefer the usage of the OCN and careful geopoliticking to influence the globe rather than taking direct action.

Granzerian Renewalism, like Granzerian fascism promotes a corporatist economic system whereby employer and employee syndicate are combined in associations to collectively represent the nation's economic producers and work alongside the state to set national economic policy. The doctrine of Paternalistic conservatism advocates the increase in quality of life for all Granzerian citizens.

Granzerian Renewalism opposes social liberalism, especially classical liberalism and neoliberalism, as well as opposing globalist capitalism and Imperialism. While Granzerian Renewalism was opposed in principle to socialism, during the rule of the Granzery Renaissance Party, the Granzerian state sought calmer relations with the Vastava Pact, particularly Gorbatov. Granzerian Renewalism also included a pro-monarchist element, and Renewalist leaders saw the royal family as an important political figurehead for the nation, allowing the people to rally around a symbolic monarch in times of crisis.

Government[edit]

The Granzerian Kingdom as it existed from 2015-2021 was a one-party constitutional monarchy, following an internal coup on the 6th of June 2015 which resulted due to the assassination of President Viktor Szőke, the current constitution underwent revision to reflect the change of the political climate. The federal government was governed with the elected Senate as the legislative branch, and the Nemzeti Vezető Kabinet/National Executive Cabinet (known as the Vezekabinet) as the executive branch. The Vezér, or leader, was selected by the Vezekabinet and Senate jointly, and was currently István Árpád. The King of Granzery has minimal political involvement.

The Federal Government was comprised of three branches:

  • Legislative - The unicameral parliament, comprised of the 900-member Senate, adopts federal law, declares war and approves treaties. Members of the Senate are elected by popular vote, but can only be a member of the Grozyar Nationalists, Royal Clique, Granzery Renaissance Party or Republican Moderate Party.
  • Executive- The Executive Cabinet of the Grozyar Renaissance Party, the Vezekabinet has no defined number of members, but currently has 109 members appointed from the Granzery Renaissance party. The Vezekabinet administers and enforces federal laws and policies and has the power of impeachment of the Vezér. The Vezekabinet can also veto legislative bills before they become law. In times of national crisis the Vezekabinet has the authority to disband the Senate and will in those cases become the legislative branch. This only occurred during the Veragyor Winter Revolution.
  • Judiciary - The Constitutional Court, Supreme Court and lower federal courts (Provisional and State Courts), whose judges are appointed by the Vezekabinet on the recommendation of the President, interpret laws and can overturn laws they deem unconstitutional.

Enforcement and administering of Federal law, and adoption of local law, and public works, are all handled by the Provincial Governments of each of Granzery's 7 provinces. These Provincial governments are comprised of elected officials who are elected every 4 years by popular vote.
